Helpful information to support your early intervention journey

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about early intervention

When should I be concerned about my child's development?

Trust your instincts. If you notice your child isn't meeting developmental milestones, has difficulty with communication, movement, or social interaction, or if your pediatrician has expressed concerns, it's worth reaching out to discuss your concerns. Early intervention is most effective when started early.

How quickly can we start services?

Most families can begin therapy within 2-3 weeks of contacting us. We'll discuss your concerns, determine the best approach for your child, and get services started as quickly as possible.

What happens when my child turns 3?

At age 3, children transition out of early intervention. If your child still needs support, they may be eligible for preschool special education services through your local school district. We help families navigate this transition by connecting you with resources, attending meetings, and ensuring continuity of care.
